Sweet Terrain
Sweet Terrain is a video project documenting a major public commission for the HS2 station at Old Oak, London (opening 2030). It follows the transformation of construction clay into ceramic tiles that connect the site’s past to its future architecture. The tiles are crafted in collaboration with the local Middle Eastern baking community, using traditional moulds to imprint the clay. This process weaves cultural rituals and migrant traditions into the fabric of a national infrastructure project, turning everyday acts of making into lasting architectural elements.
